48 Stunden is a forum for artistic projects from all spheres of the Berlin art scene. The festival presents and promotes art that contributes to and reflects on current social issues. Since its foundation in 1999, 48 Stunden has established itself as Berlin's largest free art festival with its exemplary character. More than 600 artists will show their explorations of this year’s festival theme “Air”.

In the KINDL's Kesselhaus, a curated group exhibition titled O will bring together 18 artistic works that explore the festival theme in a variety of media, including digital and technically advanced formats.

In order to adapt to the times we live in, the exhibition will transcend the walls of the Kesselhaus at the KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art - into the digital sphere. The physical and digital exhibitions will be unique in their own way because we understand that translating works into another realm other than the one in which they were conceived is no small task. As a result, audiences will be able to explore a different dimension of the works, making this format an extension of the experience rather than a replication of it.

Online, O willI create a space where audiences can meet the artists, experience new facets of the artworks and allow for serendipity and unexpected encounters. Art mediators will be available in the space to guide visitors through this world - all 100% Covid-19 proof.
