Kathrin Becker will speak with Alexandra Bircken about her work and her installation Fair Game, which is currently on view in the Kesselhaus. In what ways is the human body a reference point in Bircken’s work? How does she approach materials and working with sculpture in space? The discussion will focus on these and other questions.
Alexandra Bircken (*1967 in Cologne, lives in Berlin and Munich) has been a professor of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich since 2018.
